In a recent statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy advocated for a ‘language of force’ when communicating with Russia, stating that it is the most effective way to engage with the country. He believes this strategy should be employed across all international platforms in the coming months. Zelenskyy is focused on the June summits, especially the G7 Summit in Canada and the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, and is determined to make them successful. He added that several important meetings and negotiations will take place in Ukraine in the coming weeks. The G7 Summit is scheduled to be held in Canada from June 15-17, 2025. An exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia, planned for Saturday, was postponed due to disagreements between the two sides. Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is actively trying to free its POWs and recover its fallen soldiers, highlighting that Russia has not provided the complete lists for the exchange. He also condemned Russia’s attempt to turn the situation into a political game, stressing Ukraine’s commitment to maintaining the exchange process.
