The Indian High Commission in Nicosia and UNFICYP collaborated on a yoga event in Cyprus, leading up to the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025. The event aimed to promote the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health.’ The celebration featured the High Commissioner of India and the Acting Force Commander Colonel Patrick Andrew Allen. Major Dharmpal Singh from the Indian Army coordinated the event, facilitating communication and operational arrangements. The event underscored yoga’s relevance in maintaining mental and physical health in challenging environments, with UNFICYP personnel appreciating the initiative for its contribution to mental clarity and team cohesion. A live demonstration by a certified instructor was also a highlight.
