Washington, March 1 – The White House staunchly defended President Donald Trump’s decision to launch a deadly strike on Iran, claiming it eliminated the nation’s supreme leader amid escalating threats. Senior administration officials revealed that intelligence on missile dangers and nuclear pursuits left the US with zero alternatives.

Describing Operation Epic Fury as a pre-planned defensive measure rather than retaliation, one official stated Trump refused to let American forces in the region endure conventional missile barrages silently. ‘The president decided he wouldn’t sit idly by,’ the source emphasized under anonymity.

Immediate concerns centered on Iran’s conventional missile arsenal in the south and its long-standing quest for nuclear arms. Intelligence suggested Tehran could deploy these weapons preemptively. Waiting for an initial attack risked ‘significantly higher’ casualties and destruction, officials warned.

‘We won’t be hostages in their hands, nor allow them to strike first,’ another senior figure asserted. The administration accused Iran of targeting civilian infrastructure in reprisals, including a hotel strike, assaults on Kuwait’s airport, and attacks on Abu Dhabi hotels—far beyond military sites.

These actions followed damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities in Operation Midnight Hammer. Intel indicates Tehran is rebuilding enrichment centers, expanding centrifuge production, and ramping up capabilities relentlessly.

President Trump sought a ‘real deal’ ensuring Iran never acquires nuclear weapons, officials said, framing the strikes as essential to regional security and American lives.
