Conservative lawyer George Conway introduced a damning evaluation of the present GOP amid mounting criminal woes for former President Donald Trump, announcing the celebration is “long past,” “must principally be destroyed” and is in truth “destroying itself.”
“I don’t assume there’s any manner that it may be repaired and I feel Trump goes to take them down,” Conway, an established critic of the previous president, mentioned on the newest episode of The Bulwark’s “Beg to Fluctuate” podcast.
Republicans had “addicted themselves” To Trump’s lies like crack, he argued.
“They reside off of those lies, the conservative media earnings off of those lies, the political experts benefit off of those lies,” he persisted. “The congressmen principally make a residing promoting lies to the American other folks for contributions and investment, they’re lining their wallet or offering for his or her must haves of existence thru their PACs and no matter.”
“There’s no manner out, as a result of they principally locked in a definite collection of other folks to those lies,” Conway added. “In the long run, you’re going to finally end up with a core of the celebration that roughly eats itself up, and the remainder of the celebration is simply going to fall off and turn out to be unbiased to the level it hasn’t already.”
