The USA President Joe Biden nominated Indian American Wealthy Verma to be Deputy Secretary of State for Control and Assets.

The 54-year-old is recently the Leader Prison Officer and Head of International Public Coverage at Mastercard. Prior to being nominated to the highest diplomatic place within the State Division, Verma served as a former US ambassador to India from January 16, 2015, to January 20, 2017.
