A video depicting an Indian student being forcibly restrained and deported from Newark Liberty International Airport has gone viral, drawing widespread condemnation. The footage shows the student being held down by several US officials, handcuffed, and with his legs bound. The incident, shared by Kunal Jain, has prompted an emotional response from the Indian-American community. Jain described the incident as a ‘human tragedy’ and tagged the Indian Embassy. The Indian Embassy in New York responded, confirming they were addressing the matter with local authorities. The student was heard repeatedly saying, “I am not crazy.” A witness reported an attempt to assist the student, which was thwarted by authorities.
