Social media is ablaze with a video showcasing an Indian student’s ordeal at Newark Liberty International Airport, where he was handcuffed, pinned to the ground, and subsequently deported by US authorities. The video, shared by Kunal Jain, prompted an outpouring of concern and condemnation. The Indian Embassy in New York responded to the situation, stating they are in communication with local authorities and dedicated to assisting Indian citizens. Jain, who saw the incident unfold, recounted to NDTV that the student was speaking in the Haryanvi language and yelling, ‘I am not crazy,’ as he was being restrained. Jain attempted to offer translation assistance but was not allowed. The student’s desperate cries, ‘I am not crazy, they are making me crazy. I am not crazy, they are proving me crazy,’ underscored the emotional distress of the situation.
