At a UN Security Council meeting, Pakistan’s representative, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, raised concerns about the selective targeting of Muslims in the context of global terrorism. He stated that the lack of non-Muslims on the list of global terrorists raises serious questions.

He accused the world of overlooking non-Muslim extremists who also promote terror and extremism while focusing on Muslims. He believes this approach is unfair and weakens the global effort against terrorism.
