Britain’s Prince Andrew has renounced his army affiliations and royal patronages, Buckingham Palace stated on Thursday.
The transfer comes after Andrew’s legal professionals failed to influence a US pass judgement on to brush aside a civil lawsuit towards him that accuses him of sexual abuse.
“With The Queen’s approval and settlement, The Duke of York’s army affiliations and Royal patronages had been returned to The Queen,” Buckingham Palace stated in a commentary.
“The Duke of York will proceed to not adopt any public tasks and is protecting this example as a personal citizen.”
A royal supply stated Andrew would not use the name ‘His Royal Highness’ in any professional capability and his different roles can be dispensed amongst different participants of the Royal circle of relatives. They wouldn’t go back to Prince Andrew.
