In a strong display of solidarity, hundreds gathered outside the Bangladesh High Commission in London to protest the systematic persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. Carrying placards that declared ‘targeted, terrorized, and silenced,’ the Indian and Bangladeshi Hindu communities demanded accountability and justice from the Yunus government. The protest also championed the cause of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who has been implicated in a murder case. Organizers highlighted a disturbing trend of ‘baseless blasphemy accusations’ being exploited to target Hindus, leading to property confiscation and violence. Data suggests a significant surge in communal attacks, with 258 incidents recorded in 2025. India has formally voiced its apprehension, urging Bangladesh to cease the violence against its minority populations, which include Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists, noting an alarming number of documented assaults during the interim government’s rule.
