Washington has unveiled a striking compilation revealing that President Donald Trump issued at least 74 direct warnings to Iran against pursuing nuclear weapons in the lead-up to the recent military strike. This unwavering stance, spanning over 15 years, underscores a consistent message from the White House: Tehran must never acquire atomic capabilities.
The White House released a detailed dossier on Monday, tracing Trump’s rhetoric back to November 2011, well before his presidency. Despite variations in wording across rallies, interviews, and official statements, the core demand remained unchanged—no nuclear weapons for Iran.
In the immediate prelude to the ‘Midnight Hammer’ operation on February 24, 2026, Trump reiterated his position forcefully. ‘We’ve warned them after Midnight Hammer not to restart their weapons programs, especially nuclear. But they’re trying again. One thing is certain: I will never allow the world’s top terror sponsor to have nukes,’ he declared.
Five days earlier, on February 19, he emphasized that Iranian nukes would shatter Middle East peace. On February 13, he explicitly rejected any uranium enrichment, stating flatly, ‘We want no enrichment at all.’
Trump’s warnings grew terser in the final stretch. February 9: ‘No nuclear weapons.’ February 6: ‘Crystal clear—no nukes.’ January 29: ‘Number one, no nuclear.’
Reflecting on his long-held view, Trump noted on June 25, 2025, that he’d opposed Iran’s nuclear ambitions for 15 years, even predating his political career. As early as November 3, 2024, he cautioned that Iranian nukes posed the gravest threat to America and the world.
Earlier examples abound. On October 7, 2024: ‘I wanted just one thing—no nukes for you.’ August 27, 2024, warned of dire consequences for Israel. Back on January 6, 2020, in bold caps: ‘IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!’ June 22, 2019: ‘Iran can’t have nuclear weapons!’ And in 2011: ‘We can’t let Iran become a nuclear power.’
This compilation highlights decades of U.S. policy aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear program, a flashpoint in West Asian tensions involving enrichment disputes, sanctions, and inspections. Trump’s action now enforces what words alone could not.
