In a recent statement, former US President Donald Trump criticized India’s trade practices, specifically targeting the country’s tariffs on American goods. He argued that the trade relationship between the US and India has been imbalanced, with India charging high tariffs. Trump stated that India sells a large quantity of goods to the US while the US doesn’t do the same in return. He also noted India’s dependence on Russia for oil and military purchases. Trump said that while India is now offering to reduce tariffs, the offer is belated, as it should have been done sooner.
