West Bengal: The protest against Waqf law in Murshidabad in West Bengal took a fierce form. The protesters seeking withdrawal of laws came down on violence. In Umarpur-Banipur area of Raghunathpur police station area of the district, protesters threw stones at the police and blocked National Highway 12. The miscreants also set two police vehicles on fire, due to which there is an atmosphere of tension in the entire area. However, no casualties were reported in this incident.
