The identities of the individuals behind the deadly Bondi Beach terror attack have been confirmed as a Pakistani father and son. The rampage during Hanukkah celebrations resulted in 16 fatalities, including a child, and injured 38 others. Sajid Akram, the 50-year-old father, was fatally shot by police, while his 24-year-old son, Naveed Akram, was apprehended and is receiving medical care. Authorities are exploring potential links to extremist organizations, as evidence of an ISIS flag was discovered in the attackers’ vehicle. Police are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the motive behind the massacre. It was revealed that Sajid Akram possessed a firearms license for six weapons. In response to the horrific events, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has pushed for significant reforms to national gun laws. He proposed measures to limit the quantity of firearms held by licensed owners and stressed the importance of reassessing licenses over time, given the possibility of radicalization. The attack has profoundly shaken Australia and drawn strong condemnation from various communities, especially the Jewish population.
