A terror attack outside a synagogue in Manchester, UK, has raised alarms within the British Jewish community. The incident, which occurred during the Yom Kippur holiday, involved a vehicle being driven into a crowd followed by gunfire. This has brought to the forefront the ongoing concerns about the safety of Jewish people in Britain. A survey conducted by the Institute for Jewish Policy Research (JPR) in June-July 2025 reveals that a significant percentage of British Jews now feel unsafe. This surge in insecurity is particularly noticeable after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel.
