Student dies in government veterinary college, 6 arrested, family alleges murder

Wayanad. Police have arrested 6 people in the death of a student of a Government Veterinary and Animal Science University located in Wayanad, Kerala. All of them were arrested on 29 February. One person has been detained from Palakkad today for questioning. In this case, the family members of the deceased have accused him of murder.

Let us tell you that 20-year-old JS Siddharth, a second year student, was found hanging in his hostel room on February 18. After receiving information about this, the police arrived and initially started investigating the case of unnatural death. But Siddharth’s family claimed that the accused were part of the Student Federation of India (SFI), the student wing of the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist), and that the college was trying to protect the accused. While talking to the media on Thursday, Siddharth’s relative had said that this is a case of murder, not suicide.

Now politics has started in this matter. Congress has accused the ruling CPI(M)’s student wing SFI of beating the student to death. This allegation of Congress comes after the claim of JS Siddharthan’s father, in which he said that SFI workers and local leaders had beaten his son for three days in the hostel. Whereas SFI has denied this allegation.
