What is Spadex mission?
There are two satellites in this mission. First chaser and second target. The chaser satellite will capture the target. Will do docking with him. Apart from this, there may be one more important test. A robotic arm has emerged from the satellite, which will pull the target towards itself through a hook i.e. in a tethered manner. This target could be a different CubeSat. With this experiment, in the future, ISRO will get the technology to bring back into orbit a satellite leaving the orbit and going in a different direction. Besides this, the option of servicing and refueling in orbit will also open. The Spadex mission will feature two separate spacecraft joining together in space.
