Jaydeep Patel, a former behavioral health technician at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and of Indian origin, is in custody facing charges related to child sex exploitation. The arrest came after the discovery of over 1200 images and videos of child pornography on his electronic devices. The police action was prompted by tips from social media users. Patel has been charged with nine counts of sexually exploiting a minor. Evidence includes chat logs containing explicit requests for child sexual abuse content. Phoenix Children’s Hospital has stated that Patel underwent background checks and is no longer affiliated with the hospital. The court has set a $100,000 cash bond for Patel.
