Shah Rukh Khan honored at Locarno Film Festival, became the first Indian actor to receive this award

Shah Rukh Khan: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was honored with the ‘Pardo Alla Carriera’ Lifetime Achievement Award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Shah Rukh has become the first Indian star to be honored with this award. During this, the actor mesmerized everyone with his charm.

The highlight of the festival was Shah Rukh’s speech. He gave his signature pose and said, “Thank you all for welcoming me with such big arms.” During his speech, Shah Rukh also praised the location of the festival and said, “It is a very beautiful, very cultural, very artistic and very warm city of Locarno. So many people are packed in a small square and it is so hot. It is just like home in India.”

After this, actor Shah Rukh Khan shared his views on cinema. He said, I truly believe that cinema has been the most profound and influential artistic medium of our era. I have been fortunate to be a part of it for many years and this journey has also taught me something. He further said, art is the act of putting life above everything else. It goes beyond every man-made boundary to a place of liberation. It does not need to be political.

It doesn’t need to be controversial. It doesn’t need to be preachy. It doesn’t need to be intellectual. It doesn’t need to be moralistic.’ Shah Rukh then recalled his film journey and promised the audience that he will always push his limits.
