A government secondary school in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan was bombed by terrorists, leading to substantial damage to the building. The attack took place in the Karabag area of Barmal tehsil, South Waziristan district. Several classrooms and the school’s perimeter sustained damage. Authorities have confirmed no casualties. The local police stated that the area has been experiencing increased unrest, fostering fear and disrupting educational operations. In addition to the school bombing, three bridges were damaged in separate explosions, impacting the Wana-Azam Warsak highway and affecting local residents. Residents are calling on the government to investigate the attacks and strengthen security. Previously, a government secondary school in Akbari village, Tank district, was also bombed, damaging several classrooms. The attacks are believed to be the work of a splinter group of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating in Tank, who oppose girls’ education.
