Russia carried out its largest aerial attack on Ukraine, unleashing around 500 drones and 40 missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, over a 12-hour period. The attack resulted in the deaths of four people and injuries to more than 40 others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the strikes as intentional terror against regular cities.

Kyiv and its surrounding areas were major targets, along with Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi. A direct strike on the Cardiology Institute in Kyiv claimed four lives, including that of a 12-year-old girl.
