Former British finance minister Rishi Sunak gained probably the most votes within the first spherical of vote casting to be triumphant Boris Johnson as chief of the Conservative Birthday party and top minister, as two applicants have been eradicated.
Sunak scored 88 votes, forward of junior industry minister Penny Mordaunt on 67 and international Secretary Liz Truss on 50. Finance minister Nadhim Zahawi and previous cupboard minister Jeremy Hunt have been eradicated.
Lawmaker Kemi Badenoch won 40 votes, Tom Tugendhat won 37 and Suella Braverman won 32.
