Vladimir Putin, speaking at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, stated that Russia does not seek Ukraine’s unconditional surrender, emphasizing the unity between Russians and Ukrainians. He said that ‘all of Ukraine is ours,’ and did not rule out the potential capture of Sumy. Putin reiterated that Russia does not intend to destroy Kyiv but insisted on recognizing the current situation on the ground. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Putin’s comments by stating that Russia is not interested in a ceasefire and is continuing its aggressive actions. Putin also questioned Zelenskyy’s authority regarding a peace treaty.
