A dramatic immigration fraud has been uncovered, originating in Punjab. The case came to light when a man seeking a visa to join his wife in England was denied. The man then discovered that his wife was listed as being married to 15 different men. This unusual situation led to an investigation that revealed a complex scheme. An immigration company exploited the woman’s identification to send 15 men to England, falsely claiming that they were her husbands. The woman, residing in England, was arrested, although she had no involvement in the fraudulent activities. Her real husband resides in Rajpura, Punjab. A couple running an immigration business was found to be behind the fraud. They misused the documents of the victim and his wife to enable 15 individuals to travel to England, falsely identifying them as the woman’s husbands. The discovery resulted in the arrest of the woman in England. The aggrieved husband, Bhinder Singh, filed a complaint against the couple with the Rajpura police. He was attempting to join his wife in England with his son, and his wife had sponsored his application. The immigration company, operated by Prashant and Ruby, took ₹5.90 lakh from Bhinder Singh and failed to secure his visa.
