Trump indicated that a ceasefire agreement is close to being finalized, involving Ukrainian President Zelensky and all parties involved, in an effort to resolve the three-year-long conflict. Earlier in the week, Trump mentioned to reporters at the White House that the agreement might include the exchange of certain territories. He emphasized that this would be undertaken to secure a better future. The Kremlin has not yet commented on Trump’s social media announcement, though both sides are reportedly anticipating a meeting next week. This summit has the potential to be a significant turning point in the Russia-Ukraine war, which has been ongoing for over three years. However, it remains uncertain whether it will result in a cessation of hostilities, as Moscow and Kyiv have differing views on the terms of peace.
