Poland has increased its military vigilance in response to the possibility of Russian drones entering its airspace. This action was prompted by a report originating from the Ukrainian air force and shared on Telegram. The report indicated a westward movement of Russian drones, raising concerns about a potential incursion into Polish territory. Consequently, Poland’s operational command has initiated a comprehensive response, deploying fighter jets and enhancing air defense capabilities.
The Polish and allied fighter jets are now active within Polish airspace. Ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems are on high alert. The Ukrainian air force’s initial report mentioned the Zamosc border area as a possible target. Additionally, local Ukrainian media sources reported that at least one drone was sighted near Rzeszow in southeastern Poland. The extent of the incursion is still under investigation, with authorities working to confirm the details.
