    New Delhi is buzzing with anticipation as Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly welcomes French President Emmanuel Macron to India. Macron’s arrival marks a significant moment in the strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations, with discussions set to propel progress across multiple sectors.

    PM Modi took to social media platform X to express his enthusiasm. ‘Welcome to India! India looks forward to your visit and taking our mutual relations to new heights. I am confident our conversations will strengthen cooperation in various fields and contribute to global progress. See you in Mumbai and later in Delhi, my dear friend,’ he posted.

    Macron landed in Mumbai, where he was received by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat. The visit coincides with the India AI Impact Summit, where Macron will participate on February 19.

    The Ministry of External Affairs echoed the warm reception, highlighting the robust India-France strategic partnership. ‘Towards a strong India-France strategic partnership! Warm welcome to President Emmanuel Macron. Governors of Maharashtra and Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, welcomed him at Mumbai airport,’ the statement read.

    Key highlights of the visit include bilateral meetings between PM Modi and President Macron. The leaders will review progress under the strategic partnership, exchange views on regional and global issues, and jointly launch the India-France Year of Innovation 2026.

    On Tuesday, the two leaders will meet in Mumbai, followed by another session in New Delhi on February 19. That evening, around 5:15 PM, they will inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 in the presence of industrialists, startup founders, researchers, and innovation experts from both countries.

    This visit is poised to accelerate the vibrant India-France strategic partnership, fostering deeper collaboration in technology, innovation, and beyond. As the world watches, these discussions promise to shape future advancements and mutual prosperity.
