Speaking on social media platform X, PM Modi highlighted how the event showcased India’s exceptional talent in shaping AI’s future for global good.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the expo reaffirmed India’s commitment to using AI responsibly, inclusively, and at scale for human progress. ‘It demonstrated the extraordinary capability of Indian talent in shaping the future of AI for global good,’ he posted, underscoring the event’s significance.
Earlier, PM Modi inaugurated the expo at Bharat Mandapam, stating that India’s strides in AI would not only transform solutions for the nation but also contribute to worldwide advancement. Surrounded by innovators, researchers, and tech enthusiasts, he glimpsed the remarkable potential of Indian talent and innovation in AI.
‘We will work together not just for India but for the world,’ PM Modi declared, setting an ambitious tone. The expo runs alongside the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the first global AI conference hosted in the Global South, drawing unprecedented participation with over 20 heads of state, 60 ministers, and 500 global AI leaders.
This summit unites presidents, government heads, ministers, tech leaders, renowned researchers, multilateral institutions, and industry stakeholders to deliberate on AI’s role in fostering inclusive growth, strengthening public systems, and enabling sustainable development. For the first time, such a large-scale global discussion on these issues is happening in the Global South.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 aims to promote an impact-oriented, people-centric approach to AI, focusing on delivering measurable social and economic outcomes. PM Modi’s vision positions India at the forefront of ethical AI deployment, promising ripple effects across the globe.
