At the United Nations General Assembly, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian voiced his support for the defense agreement recently established between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He described it as a pivotal step towards a comprehensive regional security system. The agreement stipulates a mutual defense commitment, meaning an attack on either Pakistan or Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on both nations. The pact was signed in Riyadh. Pezeshkian stated the agreement’s importance for Muslim nations, viewing it as the beginning of strengthened cooperation in political, security, and defense sectors across West Asia.
