The closure of Pakistani airspace to Indian flights has resulted in substantial financial losses for the country. According to reports, Pakistan suffered a loss of 127 crore rupees due to the airspace restrictions imposed on Indian flights over two months. This action was taken following India’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty on April 23rd. The closure significantly impacted Pakistan, with the nation’s defense ministry reporting considerable losses. The Pakistani parliament confirmed that the airspace closure disrupted more than 100 flights daily, causing a financial deficit of 4.10 billion Pakistani rupees (roughly 127 crore Indian rupees) between April 24th and June 30th.
