The human rights situation in Balochistan has taken a critical turn with reports of Pakistani forces allegedly killing two more Baloch civilians. These incidents are part of a broader pattern of alleged extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances that human rights groups say are intensifying across the province.

Paank, a prominent human rights body advocating for Baloch rights, released details of the recent atrocities. Hamza Baloch, a laborer from Khuzdar district, was reportedly taken by a Pakistan-backed death squad on October 29 and later handed over to the Pakistani army. Five days later, his body was discovered in the Awaran district, exhibiting signs of fatal bullet wounds.

In a separate act of violence, Bahad Baloch, from Kech district, was allegedly murdered by Pakistan-backed militias. His body was discovered on November 1 and transported to Turbat Civil Hospital. Accounts indicate that he was robbed of his possessions before being killed, and his death was subsequently manipulated to appear as a suicide. Paank has called for the perpetrators to be held accountable for these heinous acts and has urged the international community to cease financial support for Pakistan, alleging that these funds contribute to war crimes in Balochistan.

Furthermore, Paank highlighted the enforced disappearance of Asif Hasil, a fisherman from Gwadar, who was allegedly taken by Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department and intelligence agencies from a check-post on Monday. This followed a disruptive midnight raid on his residence where communication devices were confiscated. The organization emphasizes the pervasive trauma inflicted upon the Baloch society by such state-sanctioned actions and implores the international community to intervene and ensure Pakistan’s accountability for persistent human rights violations.
