Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, conveyed his country’s willingness to hold discussions with India regarding all outstanding issues, notably the Kashmir dispute. He asserted that Pakistan is prepared to engage in these talks with a focus on dignity and respect, while also clarifying that they are not seeking to beg for talks.

India has previously stated that its discussions with Pakistan would be limited to the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and the issue of terrorism. This stance reflects the existing tensions and the focus on key issues. The 2003 dialogue, which involved comprehensive discussions, was initiated during General Pervez Musharraf’s leadership in Pakistan, encompassing various aspects of the relationship between the two countries.
