An MI-17 helicopter involved in rescue operations in the flood-stricken areas of Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir has crashed, resulting in five fatalities. The incident took place in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which is grappling with the effects of heavy rainfall and floods. The helicopter was on a mission to provide relief when it crashed in the Pandiali area of Mohmand district. The crash was caused by unfavorable weather conditions. The aircraft was en route to deliver aid to the flood-hit areas of Bajaur. Among those who died were the five crew members, including the two pilots. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation, considering the possibility of weather-related or other factors. A rescue team has been deployed to the site of the crash. Northern Pakistan has been experiencing landslides and flash floods as a result of the heavy monsoon rains.
