The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has increased global anxiety over a potential nuclear catastrophe. This fear is not just due to the preparations for war by Europe and the US. A possible incident at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe could result in a nuclear disaster. The ongoing war has the potential to cause destruction, involving nations worldwide. The conflict has become more intense, while Russia appears to be avoiding the use of more devastating weapons. This raises questions about the future of the conflict. The question becomes how Russia and Ukraine can gain an advantage without resorting to major attacks. The answer to these questions points to major devastation without the need for enormous attacks. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is currently in a concerning state, with an impending explosion. The world will see the catastrophe, and experience the destruction firsthand. Is Russia trying to cause devastation by spreading radiation from the nuclear plant, or does Ukraine want to use ZNPP to start a world war? Questions about who wants to cause an explosion in the ZNPP’s nuclear reactor have emerged, but preparations for spreading radiation have already begun. The ZNPP has had its power cut since September 23rd. Emergency generators are now in use for cooling the reactors. There is a possibility that these generators will fail soon. The main concern is that there is no chance of reconnecting the power lines. This situation could lead to a nuclear disaster like the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986 or the Fukushima nuclear plant in 2011. Without cooling, there would be explosions in the nuclear reactors, and people would experience a disaster from radiation, the same as with a nuclear explosion. If the cooling system fails, the nuclear reactors will get to their highest temperature quickly. This would damage the nuclear reactors. This would spread nuclear radiation from 314 square kilometers to 2,827 square kilometers. This would impact life in Kyiv and Crimea. Radiation would then spread to European countries. Is this a disaster plan like Chernobyl and Fukushima? The plant is currently under Russian control, and Russia has worsened this disaster plan. According to Evgenia Yashina, the director of ZNPP, the Ukrainian army is increasing the risk by attacking the plant. Continuous shelling could damage the reactors, and a major accident cannot be ruled out. Russia is making it clear that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant faces more danger from Ukraine. Why does Ukraine want this? The direct answer is that Zelensky is seeking ways to expand the war. Radiation leaks from the ZNPP would surround Russia, forcing Europe and the US into a direct conflict. The ZNPP could be used as a weapon for Russia to seize a larger territory. A disaster is likely to happen.
