Pakistan and Russia are set to collaborate on a rail and road network, with the aim of improving connectivity between Pakistan, Central Asia, and Russia. This plan was discussed at the SCO ministerial conference in Tianjin, China. The meeting involved Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Russia’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Andrey Sergeyevich Nikitin, who agreed to fast-track infrastructure projects. These projects are aimed at integrating trade and economic activities in the region, transforming Pakistan into a key regional hub. This cooperation follows the joint naval exercise ‘Arabian Monsoon-VI’ conducted earlier this year. Additionally, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has raised concerns about the Taliban’s actions, suggesting they are contributing to regional instability and impeding counter-terrorism efforts.
