Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boarded his special VIP plane, ‘Wing of Zion,’ on Tuesday, heading to the United States for a crucial meeting with President Donald Trump. Speaking to reporters at the airport before departure, Netanyahu emphasized the significance of the visit, stating he would share Israel’s firm stance on the ongoing US-Iran negotiations.

“This meeting is of utmost importance,” Netanyahu said. “I will make President Trump fully aware of our positions regarding the current talks. These principles are essential not only for Israel but for every nation worldwide that seeks peace and security.”

The leaders are expected to discuss a range of critical issues, including the situation in Gaza and broader regional challenges. Netanyahu highlighted the ‘unique closeness’ between Israel and the US, as well as his personal rapport with Trump, evidenced by their frequent meetings.

Meanwhile, Iran has reacted sharply to the news of Netanyahu’s trip. Tehran labeled the visit as ‘extremely dangerous’ for diplomatic efforts. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei warned during a press briefing that external pressures could undermine the fragile progress in talks.

“Our interlocutor is the United States,” Baghaei stated. “It is up to America to act independently, free from pressures and negative influences in this region.” He accused the ‘Zionist regime’ of repeatedly sabotaging any diplomatic processes aimed at bringing peace to the Middle East.

The backlash comes just days after senior US and Iranian officials held what both sides described as positive discussions in Oman last week. Tehran even hinted at potential flexibility on its enriched uranium stockpile but firmly ruled out negotiations on its missile program or support for regional militias.

As Netanyahu’s plane lifts off, the world watches closely. His intervention could significantly shape the trajectory of US-Iran relations at a pivotal moment. With tensions simmering across the Middle East, this high-stakes dialogue underscores the delicate balance between diplomacy and deterrence.
