In a dramatic escalation of the Israel-Iran conflict, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declaring the era of the ‘dictator’ over. Speaking directly to the nation, Netanyahu revealed that Israeli forces had targeted key locations, including the site where Khamenei was present, resulting in the elimination of top nuclear program officials, Revolutionary Guards commanders, and other high-ranking figures.

Netanyahu’s bold statement came hours after Israeli Air Force jets, guided by precise intelligence, struck over 30 targets across western and central Iran. These included air defense systems, missile launchers, military command centers, and ballistic missile arrays. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emphasized their ongoing mission to dismantle Iran’s aerial defenses and missile capabilities, vowing to continue operations in the coming days.

‘Today, we have eliminated major leaders involved in Iran’s nuclear program and will keep targeting this regime’s installations,’ Netanyahu declared. He promised strikes on thousands more terrorist regime strongholds, signaling an unrelenting campaign against what he called the ‘terrorist government.’

As missile alerts sounded across Israel following launches from Iran, the Home Front Command urged citizens to follow safety protocols. The Air Force is actively intercepting threats, though officials stressed that defense is not foolproof.

The strikes’ ripple effects reached beyond Iran. In Dubai, debris from the attacks sparked a fire at Jebel Ali Port’s berth, promptly contained by civil defense teams with no injuries reported. Authorities warned against sharing old footage from a 2021 incident to prevent misinformation. Meanwhile, Bahrain International Airport faced a drone attack, causing no casualties as security teams responded swiftly.

Iranian media initially dismissed Netanyahu’s claims but later confirmed Khamenei’s death, marking a potential turning point in the region’s volatile power dynamics. As Israel presses its advantage, the world watches closely for the next moves in this high-stakes confrontation.
