Moscow maintains its commitment to a peaceful end to the Ukraine conflict and is currently awaiting a response from Kyiv to restart negotiations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized the evolving situation on the ground, attributing the delay to Ukraine’s reluctance to agree to a third round of discussions. Peskov reiterated Russia’s preference for diplomatic solutions. Two rounds of talks were previously held earlier this year in Istanbul. The United States has reportedly resumed weapons deliveries to Ukraine. In addition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Rubio also encouraged European countries to boost military support for Ukraine, including the provision of Patriot air defense systems.
