Modi government’s problems are going to increase further: New twist in farmers’ movement, now railway tracks will also be blocked

Farmers Protest: Farmers are once again reaching the country’s capital Delhi. Farmers are preparing to siege Delhi to get their demands met by the Modi government at the Centre. On Tuesday, agitating farmers marching from Punjab towards Delhi clashed with the police. In which hundreds of protesters and policemen have been injured. Today, Bharatiya Kisan Union has made a big announcement in protest against the lathicharge on farmers and has announced to block railway tracks in Punjab. Farmers have announced to block the track from 12 noon on Thursday. Due to this, the problems of the government may increase further. Also, the general public may have to face a lot of trouble.

Let us tell you that the farmers are preparing to march to Delhi with many major demands like implementing the Swaminathan Commission report, guarantee on MSP, taking strict action on the Lakhimpur Kheri accident. In which farmers from many states of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh are included. Sharp cement barriers along with barricades and wire fencing have been installed to stop the agitators. A large number of farmers have also reached Shambhu and Khanauri border with tractors.

Tear gas shells fired at the protesters

On Tuesday, there was a clash between the agitating farmers and the police on the Shambhu and Khanauri border. When Haryana Police removed the barricades, the police sprayed water on the farmers and also fired tear gas shells. In the disturbance at Shambhu border, half a dozen policemen including DSP and many farmers were also injured.

These are the main demands of the farmers

Farmer leaders are demanding a law on Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Farmers are demanding from the Central Government to improve the quality of seeds of all crops including cotton by amending the Pesticides, Seeds and Fertilizers Act.

This time, the farmer leaders who marched to Delhi are demanding from the government that it should waive off the government and non-government loans of all the farmers.

Farmer leaders are also demanding implementation of the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission.

The demand for giving pension of Rs 10,000 to farmers above 60 years of age is also a major issue of this farmers’ movement.

There has also been a demand by the farmers to increase the allowance to reduce the import duty on agricultural and dairy products, fruits, vegetables and meat.

Farmer leaders want the central government to give justice to the victims of Lakhimpur Kheri violence and give a job to one member of the family.

This time, the farmers have demanded immediate fulfillment of the demands which were given assurance by the Central Government.

There has also been a demand to cancel the cases against the farmers against whom cases were registered in the previous farmers’ movement, in this time’s movement.

In this movement, the farmers are demanding from the Central Government that compensation should be given to the families of the farmers who died in the previous movement and a government job should also be given to one member of the family.
