They agreed to boost collaboration in areas including trade, technology, energy, defense, agriculture, health, and people-to-people exchanges. The leaders also exchanged views on various international and regional matters of shared concern. They decided to stay in regular contact to further strengthen their partnership. PM Modi took to social media to share the details, emphasizing the value of a strong, people-focused partnership within the Global South.
During the BRICS summit, PM Modi and President Lula previously met, emphasizing a joint strategy on counter-terrorism. They highlighted the expanding collaboration in defense as a symbol of mutual trust, including discussions on multiple sectors such as AI and supercomputers.
