Mithun Chakraborty expressed that even today 9 percent of Hindus do not vote. He insisted that this time everyone should come out of the houses and vote for the BJP. He warned that Bangladesh has shown only one glimpse, and after that there is doubt whether Hindu Bengali will exist in Bengal. If Hindus do not vote this time, then we may have to face serious problems in future.
The Trinamool Congress has reacted sharply to Mithun Chakraborty’s statement. Trinamool leader Jayaprakash Mazumdar alleged that Mithun Chakraborty is trying to create tension in West Bengal by taking the name of Bangladesh. He also said, “Can Mithun Chakraborty go to Mumbai and say something like this? If an attempt was made to create unrest in the state by mentioning Bangladesh, the people of West Bengal would not tolerate it.”
