Israeli forces recently killed 262 crocodiles at a farm near the unauthorized settlement of Petza’el in the West Bank. The incident involved the creation of a specific area for the slaughter of the animals. The farm, which once hosted about 800 crocodiles, was the site of the killings.
The military action involved draining the water from the lake and then shooting the crocodiles. The corpses were subsequently transported in trucks. The farm had previously been a popular tourist spot and a site for crocodile skin trading. The initial population of crocodiles was around 3,000, introduced in the early 2000s.
