Manisha Koirala, a prominent actress, recently voiced her opinions on Nepali politics during a podcast, suggesting that the constitution should have accommodated the monarchy. She also admitted that the constitution has not been successful in ensuring justice for the Nepali people. Koirala comes from a political family with a rich history; her father, Prakash Koirala, served as a minister, and her grandfather, BP Koirala, was Nepal’s first prime minister.

Koirala was asked about the recurring government instability in Nepal. She stated that she is very critical of current Nepali politics, and this is not a new sentiment for her. She shared that she has been understanding politics since childhood and heard from her father that politics is about serving the people.
