French President Macron has implied that the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin will reveal if he has been manipulating former U.S. President Donald Trump. Macron stated during a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz that a failure to arrange a meeting with Zelensky by Monday would be telling. Trump had set a two-week deadline for peace talks, which concludes on September 1st. Zelensky also alluded to this deadline on Friday, indicating the two weeks were nearing completion.
