Liquor scam: Telangana. Former Telangana CM KCR's daughter and MLC Kavitha have been arrested by ED. He is being brought to Delhi. This arrest has been made in the Delhi liquor scam case. In protest against this, BRS workers demonstrated outside Kavita's residence. His supporters raised slogans against the Central Government, ED and IT.
It is being told that many senior leaders of BRS reached the residence of MLC Kavita. In the Delhi liquor scam case, ED and IT officials jointly raided the residence of BRS MLC Kavitha. Under the direction of Joint Director of Enforcement Directorate, a team of 8 officers including two women officers and IT officers jointly conducted the inspection at his residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
During the search, ED officials confiscated the cell phones of everyone present in the house and seized many documents. Kavita's statement was recorded. In the wake of the earlier attacks, BRS legal convenor Soma Bharat and lawyer Kavita reached the residence, but the authorities did not allow anyone to enter their house. On the other hand, heavy police deployment was made at Kavita's residence to prevent any untoward incident. It may be noted that MLC Kavita has approached the Supreme Court challenging the notice issued earlier by the Enforcement Directorate for hearing in the Delhi liquor scam case which has created a sensation across the country.
Kavita has filed a petition in the Supreme Court alleging that the provisions of CrPC are not being followed in the investigation of women. He said that ED should be instructed not to take any action against him.
