Israel is adding Iron Beam, a cutting-edge defense system, to its protective shield. This system promises to detect and eliminate incoming threats with exceptional speed. Iron Beam is the result of a joint development initiative by Elbit Systems and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems. After rigorous testing, the system is expected to be operational later this year. It is designed to augment Israel’s existing air defense infrastructure, which includes Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow. These established systems have a strong track record of successfully intercepting projectiles launched by Hamas from Gaza, Hezbollah from Lebanon, and the Houthis from Yemen.
