A recent attack by Houthi rebels from Yemen involved a successful breach of Israeli air defenses. A drone launched by the rebels struck Ramon Airport on Sunday. This resulted in the disruption of air traffic, with multiple flights being postponed. Footage from the scene revealed an explosion and smoke. Israeli news outlets subsequently reported that the drone, which originated in Yemen, impacted a passenger terminal at Ramon Airport, injuring two. While Israeli air defenses intercepted three other drones, the fourth drone managed to hit the Ramon Airport terminal. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the siren failure. The Israeli Airports Authority has stated that air navigation at the airport has been suspended due to the incident.
