The Israeli Foreign Ministry has responded to accusations of mistreating Greta Thunberg, a Swedish climate activist. The ministry labeled the claims as ‘ludicrous and baseless,’ particularly those from the Hamas-Sumud flotilla. The statement underlined that all detainees’ legal rights were fully respected. Notably, the ministry indicated that Thunberg and other detainees opted to extend their time in detention. The ministry also noted that Thunberg did not raise any concerns about alleged mistreatment with the Israeli authorities, asserting that no such events took place.
