Following attacks on Iranian nuclear and military sites by Israel and the subsequent announcement of a ceasefire by US President Donald Trump, Israel has agreed to a cessation of hostilities with Iran. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office released a statement expressing gratitude to President Trump and the United States for their support. Simultaneously, the Israeli government warned Tehran, stating that it would respond forcefully to any violations of the ceasefire. The statement detailed Israel’s adherence to the President’s ceasefire proposal. The Israeli government has also instructed its citizens to follow IDF Home Front Command guidelines. Despite the agreement, reports indicate that both sides continued military actions, with sirens sounding in Israel and Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi confirming military actions. President Trump confirmed the ceasefire on his ‘Truth Social’ account.
