A chilling report has exposed how Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is masterminding an unholy alliance between jihadist and sectarian terror groups. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) are forging closer ties under ISI’s watchful eye, signaling a dangerous escalation in state-sponsored terrorism.
The symbolic gesture of ISKP coordinator Mir Shafiq Mangal gifting weapons to LeT leader Rana Mohammad Ashfaq underscores this growing partnership. According to insights from India Narrative, Pakistan’s ‘deep state’ has elevated terrorism from mere tolerance to a calculated instrument of state policy. At the heart of this network stands the ISI, not just shielding outfits like LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), ISKP, and even Hamas, but actively weaving them into a formidable ‘unholy coalition’.
Post-Operation Sindoor, which inflicted heavy damage on LeT’s Muridke headquarters and laid bare inter-group links, the ISI has intensified its efforts. Instructions have gone out for LeT and JeM to operate as a unified ‘pack’ rather than in silos. Pakistani army officers now openly attend terrorists’ funerals, while politicians share stages with LeT deputy Saifullah Kasuri.
Senior LeT figure Rauf boasted during a state-protected parade about seamless jihad recruitment, with Hafiz Saeed’s son Talha Saeed in attendance. The ISI network fuses LeT’s urban logistics and operatives with JeM’s suicide bombing expertise, bolstered by Hamas’s tactical support, all aimed at perpetuating long-term violence against India.
Yet, India’s security apparatus stands resolute. Advanced drone jammers, anti-drone swarms, and laser countermeasures neutralize IED threats. Precision artillery, exosuits enhancing human performance, and para special forces rapid response units are primed for hybrid fidayeen attacks and urban sieges.
Along the Line of Control (LoC), sensor grids and strategic helicopter pads enable swift action. Cyber units disrupt hawala networks and disinformation campaigns. The Indian armed forces vigilantly monitor airspace to thwart aerial support and remain alert to misuse of foreign intelligence.
